Adding one or more of Evan-Moor’s daily math practice and review resources into center rotation makes for excellent practice activities. Math centers allow students to work independently and on their level. Math centers are a mainstay in many first through fifth grade classrooms. By incorporating daily word problem practice into the school day, students become more efficient and confident with their problem solving skills. Word problems, especially multi-step ones are often difficult for students. Daily math problems are an excellent way for primary and elementary classroom teachers, math educators and homeschoolers to get kids thinking. Do-now’s get students focused the moment they walk through the door and sit down. Many educators love to begin the school day or the class period with a do-now. Choose from daily math practice materials that incorporate activities that keep kid’s math skills sharp through grade level appropriate math challenges, word problems, hands-on activities and more. We have been “helping children learn” for more than 35 years and have a thorough selection of high-quality, research-based daily math practice review books and teacher resources that foster high-performing math skills from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Package content is not flexible and cannot be modified.Evan-Moor understands this. Please note that if your order ships in multiple boxes, package components may not all be in the same box. The package item number is also listed at the bottom of your packing slip for reference. On your packing slip, package components are picked and packed individually and are identified with the code "PKGCMP" in the price column. Any backordered components will ship separately as they become available. In-stock components will ship according to our normal shipping time. When you order a package, you are charged one price for all package items. Because most package items or components are also sold separately and may be components of multiple packages, these items may not have the same inventory availability at any point in time. Although packages are sets, items are not physically bundled together. Any item sold as a package on our website is identified by a unique alpha-numeric item number (such as "APH1AB"). A listing of individual items that make up a package is provided on the package item's product detail page along with real-time item availability of those items. ~ EnhĪ "package" is made up of two or more items sold as a set, often for a reduced price. Algebra skills covered are expressions, operations, equations with variables, exponents, roots and radicals, inequalities, coordinate graphing, functions, and more. Please note: Although the algebra level book follows the same pattern of 5 practice problems per day, there are not set "types" of problems for each day of the week. Practice problems are set up in a spiraling sequence with the difficulty level increasing each successive week. With each week's activities centered around a particular theme like the Titanic or inventions, students will not only sharpen their math skills but also learn real facts about the topic at hand. Friday activities follow a slightly different pattern with two computational, one algebraic, one "random," and one challenge problem. Measurement and number concepts round out the remaining two types of problems Tuesdays and Thursdays. The remaining two activities for Mondays and Wednesdays contain a statistic/probability activity and a geometry one. Monday through Thursday problem sets consist of one computational, one problem-solving, and one algebra problem. Similar to Daily Math Practice, these provide grade appropriate practice problems on a daily basis for 36 weeks.
